We enjoyed an incredible evening together at our 2025 Fall Gala, held on October 16 at the beautiful Tappan Hill Mansion. The event was a heartwarming celebration of connection, generosity, and community of friends who gathered to support our mission of serving our short term rehabilitation patients and long term residents.
Friends, families, staff, and community partners came together for a night filled with laughter, music, and meaningful moments that reflected the true spirit of the Methodist Home. The room was filled with joy and purpose as guests shared stories, reconnected, and celebrated the dedicated staff and residents who make the Methodist Home such a special place.
Celebrating Generosity and Impact at Our Fall Gala
Guests enjoyed an elegant dinner, lively entertainment, and a shared sense of pride in our ongoing mission. Every toast, conversation, and donation reflected a common goal: ensuring that our residents continue to experience the highest level of compassionate, person-centered care.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of everyone in attendance, the 2025 Fall Gala raised an outstanding $135,000 in support of our ongoing programs and renovations. As a non-profit organization serving New Yorkers for over 170 years, these funds will help enhance spaces, expand services, and enrich daily life for both residents and staff.
“Our mission has always been to create a true home – one built on care, comfort, and connection,” said Maria Perez, Administrator & CEO. “The generosity of our community allows us to continue strengthening that foundation and ensuring that every person who comes through our doors feels supported, valued, and loved.”
Honoring Leaders Who Inspire
We were proud to recognize two exceptional honorees at this year’s gala:
- Rani Roy, PhD, Executive Vice President of Business Operations at Manhattan College, educator, and community leader.
- Joe McCoy, Market President of Valley Bank and dedicated advocate for education, the arts, and local business.
Both honorees embody the spirit of the Methodist Home – demonstrating compassion, leadership, and a commitment to service that uplifts those around them. Their contributions remind us of the importance of collaboration and shared purpose in supporting the community.
Strengthening Our Mission
Every dollar raised from this year’s gala will directly impact the lives of residents at the Methodist Home, funding meaningful updates and program enhancements that make a lasting difference. From expanding therapeutic programs to improving comfort and accessibility, the generosity of supporters ensures that we can continue to provide exceptional care in a warm, welcoming environment.
If you were unable to attend but would still like to contribute, your support is always appreciated. Each and every gift helps us continue building a brighter, stronger future for our residents and staff.
We Are Grateful for You
From the first toast to the final song, the 2025 Fall Gala was more than just an event — it was a celebration of compassion, connection, and community.
We extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, donated, and continues to believe in our mission. Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
